We get this question pretty often, and while some people think it alludes to the typical “making hay while the sun shines” - the truth is we’re making hay no matter what the weather is doing! Haymaker is actually tied to some old Saskatchewan roots and childhood memories. It’s a name driven by nostalgia. It’s dirt roads, it’s your Grandpa’s 1960’s Mercury M-100 pickup, it’s BINGO at the Community Hall, it’s pinching perogies until your hands cramp, but most of all, it’s an ode to the tireless work that goes into running a farm.
